Some stores will entice you to buy two for three or get two and buy one for just P100. Before you grab, compute. How much will each item cost? Is the discount worth it? Getting more of what you only need a piece of can be costly in the long run.

6. Grab now, decide later
Sale shopping isn’t for the indecisive. People are vultures when it comes to discounts. Drop one item and another will pick it up in seconds! The philosophy of the smart shopper: collect and collect, then select.

7. Go to the best stores first
If you have a favorite store or a shop that offers the best discounts, go there first and leave the others for later. You’d want to be at those shops before everything gets snatched up.

8. Buy when you don’t need it
This sounds stupid but actually, it’s sound advice. Just know the difference between items that you won’t need and items that you don’t need yet. For instance, you may not need a party dress now but occasionally, you attend cocktail parties with your boss. Be on the lookout for a party dress now even if you don’t need it yet. Don’t wait until you need it the next day. By that time, there might not be any discounts.
